Are you an experienced technology professional with a passion for leading teams, managing complex systems, and ensuring seamless operations across business applications?

Stockport Homes Group is looking for a Corporate Applications Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing our ICT applications portfolio.

As the Corporate Applications Manager, you will be responsible for the support, development, and effective use of ICT applications that are integral to Stockport Homes Group. You will lead a team of talented System Managers and System Officers, ensuring that all business-critical applications are reliable, efficient, and provide value for money. Your leadership will ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of our technical infrastructure, ensuring it meets both operational and strategic goals.

You will play a key role in ITIL service management, ensuring that application availability meets agreed service levels, while also ensuring that applications remain compliant with cybersecurity standards. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external delivery partners to evaluate, plan, and implement enhancements and upgrades across the SHG’s technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Systems Team, ensuring the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and upgrades of all operational ICT systems.
  • Oversee access control and data security within the data warehouse, applying robust security measures.
  • Act as the operational lead on large-scale software implementation projects, including the development of SHG’s housing management system.
  • Ensure systems meet capacity and availability requirements, identifying and addressing any shortfalls.
  • Plan and manage technical hardware upgrades and connectivity, working closely with suppliers and service partners.
  • Lead on achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus certification, focusing on IT security policies and controls.
  • Provide proactive guidance to stakeholders on system upgrades, ensuring service availability is maintained.
  • Foster strong relationships across teams to drive continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience with housing management systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and cloud technologies.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team with various technical disciplines.
  • Experience in leading ICT services for large-scale projects and enabling Continuous Service Improvement.
  • Proven ability to implement cybersecurity policies and manage core business systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on building relationships across business areas and 3rd Parties.
  • A technology-related degree or equivalent professional experience.
