Stockport Homes Group manages a 12,000 strong housing stock on behalf of Stockport Council. Providing high quality affordable housing is something we are passionate about.
We're looking for a Customer Services Officer to join our driven and friendly team working in our busy head office Cornerstone in the centre of Stockport town centre. In this role, you will specialise in one of the three key services areas of repairs, rehousing or neighbourhood issues but will be required to support other teams as well.
You will take telephone calls in Stockport Homes Contact centre and will often be the first point of contact for our customers, meaning your role will be crucial to delivering a first-class customer experience.

In this role, you will:
Give advice and information on a range of housing and related issues including rehousing, tenancy and estate management and repairs in a way customers can understand
Maintain a positive and professional attitude to customers at all times and respond to enquiries with patience and understanding ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Work well under pressure with an exemplary, positive attitude and ability to solve problems creatively.
Have resilience when dealing with customers during this challenging time for the Social Housing Sector
You will need to be very resilient, approachable, have excellent written and verbal communication skills a working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office applications and have a real interest in delivering excellent customer service.
The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory basic clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
